Manly Beach is just something else
The ferry ride to Manly alone is worth it - you get these insane views of the harbour the whole way. Beach is clean, waves are great, and there's heaps of good food nearby. Totally lived up to the hype.
Sydney Opera House blew my mind
I've seen photos a million times but standing in front of the Opera House is a whole different thing. The Rocks area nearby is great for wandering - lots of history and decent pubs. The harbour views from there are just ridiculous. Really easy city to get around too.
Best city beach I've ever been to
Bondi Beach is exactly what I hoped for. The walk along the coastal path to Coogee is absolutely stunning - not too hard and the views the whole way are brilliant. Grabbed a flat white at one of the cafes on Campbell Parade and just sat watching the surfers. Pure bliss.
Great food scene around Surry Hills
Surry Hills is packed with amazing cafes and restaurants - could easily spend a few days just eating your way through the neighbourhood. The coffee culture here is serious and the brunch spots are genuinely some of the best I've tried anywhere. Really relaxed and easy going feel to the whole area.
Sydney Harbour Bridge walk is a must
Did the BridgeClimb and the views from the top are just unreal - you can see the whole city and harbour spread out below you. Worth every cent. The city itself is so easy to navigate and people are genuinely friendly. One of the best city trips I've done.
Didn't want to leave Darling Harbour
Darling Harbour is such a nice spot to spend an evening - good restaurants right on the water, boats everywhere, and the whole area looks great at night. The fish and chips by the waterfront were simple but so good. Sydney really knows how to make the most of its waterfront.
